Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art, which included the work Smuggling off San Diego, The Brig Betsy, September 1800 by Christopher Blossom. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,570.00 (€ 2,990.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christopher Blossom - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Brixham Harbor, England, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 8,825.00 (€ 7,915.51).

Im August 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Smuggling off San Diego, The Brig Betsy, September 1800 von Christopher Blossom zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 2.990,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00.
