Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A pair of singerie works depicting monkeys training a dog (2) by Christophe Huet was sold in the The Gentleman's Library Sale auction at Bonhams in London in February 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,176.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christophe Huet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Mimi, Madame De Pompadour'S King Charles Spaniel, In A Landscape in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 46,875.00 (€ 35,839.90).
