Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Road through a rocky landscape in Ogna, Jæren, Norway by Kitty Lange Kielland was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 26,000.00 (€ 3,485.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kitty Lange Kielland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior with two women, one sitting by the window and one reading on the couch in September this year with an auction result of DKK 280,000.00 (€ 37,539.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Road through a rocky landscape in Ogna, Jæren, Norway von Kitty Lange Kielland im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 26.000,00 (€ 3.485,83) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kitty Lange Kielland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior with two women, one sitting by the window and one reading on the couch im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 280.000,00 (€ 37.539,68).
