The work Composition by Christine Boumeester was sold in the Contemporary Art - Australian Aboriginal Art auction at Artcurial in July 2012. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 708.00 42% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Christine Boumeester have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition, 1951 in March 2013 with an auction result of EUR 3,604.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composition von Christine Boumeester wurde im Juli 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art - Australian Aboriginal Art bei Artcurial versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 708,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christine Boumeester auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition, 1951 im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.604,00.
