A top price for Cho Taikho - as previously expected
The work Meet "J" by Cho Taikho was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2009. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,417.63), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 4,500.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Meet "J" is the most expensive artwork by Cho Taikho that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Meet "J" von Cho Taikho wurde im September 2009 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.417,63) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.500,00 – 5.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Meet "J" das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cho Taikho, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
