It achieved a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 6,849.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chihiro Nagashima - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Warning of A Pale Sheep & The Middle of The Everlasting, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 211,500.00 (€ 17,412.05).

Die Arbeit Waterpipes at Night von Chihiro Nagashima kam im Mai 2009 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 6.849,07) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Chihiro Nagashima mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Warning of A Pale Sheep & The Middle of The Everlasting beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 211.500,00 (€ 17.412,05) versteigert wurde.
