Auction result well in line with expectations
The work State of Being (Prints) by Chiharu Shiota was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Sale auction at Christies in Shanghai in September this year. The price achieved of HKD 630,000.00 (€ 76,011.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chiharu Shiota have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work State of Being in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 337,153.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit State of Being (Prints) von Chiharu Shiota wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Sale bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 76.011,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chiharu Shiota auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit State of Being im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 287.500,00 (€ 337.153,36).
