Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Endless Line by Chiharu Shiota was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in October this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 762,000.00 (€ 92,149.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chiharu Shiota - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work State of Being, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 287,500.00 (€ 337,153.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Endless Line von Chiharu Shiota kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 762.000,00 (€ 92.149,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chiharu Shiota mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit State of Being beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 287.500,00 (€ 337.153,36) versteigert wurde.
