Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Diorama (Subway) by Chiharu Nishizawa was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,986.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Chiharu Nishizawa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Enjoy Car Life - C in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 667,500.00 (€ 54,952.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Diorama (Subway) von Chiharu Nishizawa wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.986,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chiharu Nishizawa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Enjoy Car Life - C im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 667.500,00 (€ 54.952,92).
