Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Huang Chih Chao was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. It changed hands for a price of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,297.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 75,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Chih Chao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lady with Horse, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 26,836.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Huang Chih Chao wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.297,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 75.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Chih Chao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lady with Horse beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 26.836,39) versteigert wurde.
