A top price for Chiang Yomei - as previously expected
In October 2001 Christies in Taipei held the auction 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART, which included the work From the series of heart Sutra: The Dream & Gate Gate Paragate by Chiang Yomei. The price achieved of TWD 164,500.00 (€ 5,286.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as TWD 140,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, From the series of heart Sutra: The Dream & Gate Gate Paragate is the most expensive artwork by Chiang Yomei that we have observed at auctions so far.
