In December 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Image World | Contemporary Art from a Private American Collection, which included this untitled work by Cheyney Thompson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,506.45), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cheyney Thompson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chronochrome II in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 288,339.09).

Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Image World | Contemporary Art from a Private American Collection durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Cheyney Thompson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.506,45) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cheyney Thompson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chronochrome II im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 288.339,09).
