Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 15,360.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chéri Samba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Congolese J'Aime La Couleur in April 2019 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 109,058.34).

Die Arbeit Le secret d'un petit poisson devenu grand von Chéri Samba kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 15.360,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chéri Samba auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Congolese J'Aime La Couleur im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 109.058,34).
