Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Prison d'Obligation (unstretched and unframed) by Chéri Cherin was auctioned at Bonhams in London in August last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,770.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chéri Cherin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La plus belle femme d'Afrique in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,562.00 (€ 31,990.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Prison d'Obligation (unstretched and unframed) von Chéri Cherin kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.770,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chéri Cherin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La plus belle femme d'Afrique im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.562,00 (€ 31.990,38).
