Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Artcurial held the auction Contemporary African Art Online, which included the work L'élégance dans toute sa splendeur, 2016 by Chéri Cherin. The price achieved of EUR 3,936.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chéri Cherin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La plus belle femme d'Afrique in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,562.00 (€ 31,990.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Contemporary African Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'élégance dans toute sa splendeur, 2016 von Chéri Cherin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.936,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chéri Cherin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La plus belle femme d'Afrique im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.562,00 (€ 31.990,38).
