Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work L'environment by Chéri Cherin for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,466.62). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chéri Cherin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La plus belle femme d'Afrique in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,562.00 (€ 31,990.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit L'environment von Chéri Cherin für GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.466,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chéri Cherin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La plus belle femme d'Afrique im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.562,00 (€ 31.990,38).
