Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Scene by Cheong Soo Pieng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 360,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 42,191.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cheong Soo Pieng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature's Inspiration in November this year with an auction result of HKD 11,507,000.00 (€ 1,350,289.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Scene von Cheong Soo Pieng kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 360.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 42.191,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cheong Soo Pieng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature's Inspiration im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.507.000,00 (€ 1.350.289,70).
