A top price for Cheong Soo Pieng
The work Nature's Inspiration by Cheong Soo Pieng was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 11,507,000.00 (€ 1,350,289.70), 69% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Nature's Inspiration the most expensive artwork by Cheong Soo Pieng that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Nature's Inspiration von Cheong Soo Pieng wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 11.507.000,00 (€ 1.350.289,70) und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
