A top price for Cheong Soo Pieng
The work Nature's Inspiration by Cheong Soo Pieng was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 11,507,000.00 (€ 1,350,289.70), 69% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Nature's Inspiration the most expensive artwork by Cheong Soo Pieng that we have observed at auctions so far.
