Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Cheng Tinglu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Landscapes sold for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 15,955.31) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cheng Tinglu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cottage In The Mountain in April this year with an auction result of HKD 90,000.00 (€ 91,907.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cheng Tinglu erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Landscapes für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 15.955,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cheng Tinglu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cottage In The Mountain im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 90.000,00 (€ 91.907,61).
