This artwork by Chen Zizhuang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Two Birds On Magnolia Branch sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,407.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Zizhuang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peonies And Rock in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,320,000.00 (€ 219,961.78).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Zizhuang erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Two Birds On Magnolia Branch für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.407,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Zizhuang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peonies And Rock im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.320.000,00 (€ 219.961,78).
