Artwork auctioned at 14 times the upper estimate price
When the work Landscape by Chen Zizhuang was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 30,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than 14 times as high at HKD 424,800.00 (€ 48,506.44). Admittedly, works by Chen Zizhuang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peonies And Rock in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,320,000.00 (€ 219,961.78).
Kunstwerk zum 14-fachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Landscape von Chen Zizhuang im Mai 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 30.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 424.800,00 (€ 48.506,44) mehr als 14-mal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Zizhuang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peonies And Rock im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.320.000,00 (€ 219.961,78).
