Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Chair Of Concentration by Chen Zhen. The price achieved of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 125,034.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 900,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Zhen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Opening Of A Closed Center, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 576,000.00 (€ 428,157.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chair Of Concentration von Chen Zhen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 125.034,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 900.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Zhen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Opening Of A Closed Center beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 576.000,00 (€ 428.157,29) versteigert wurde.
