It achieved a price of HKD 132,000.00 (€ 14,683.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Admittedly, works by Chen Wenxi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monkeys and Bees in November last year with an auction result of HKD 1,011,000.00 (€ 125,456.84).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 132.000,00 (€ 14.683,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Wenxi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monkeys and Bees im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.011.000,00 (€ 125.456,84).
