In October 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Sparrows by Chen Wenxi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 56,640.00 (€ 6,377.75), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wenxi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Monkeys and Bees in November last year with an auction result of HKD 1,011,000.00 (€ 125,456.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sparrows von Chen Wenxi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 56.640,00 (€ 6.377,75) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Wenxi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Monkeys and Bees im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.011.000,00 (€ 125.456,84).
