Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Wenxi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Monkey Playing sold for HKD 129,800.00 (€ 13,695.97) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 48,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Wenxi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monkeys and Bees in November last year with an auction result of HKD 1,011,000.00 (€ 125,456.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Wenxi erzielte im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Monkey Playing für HKD 129.800,00 (€ 13.695,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 48.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Wenxi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monkeys and Bees im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.011.000,00 (€ 125.456,84).
