In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Flora And Chicken by Chen Wenxi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 82,600.00 (€ 8,715.62), 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wenxi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Monkeys and Bees in November last year with an auction result of HKD 1,011,000.00 (€ 125,456.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flora And Chicken von Chen Wenxi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 82.600,00 (€ 8.715,62) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Wenxi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Monkeys and Bees im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.011.000,00 (€ 125.456,84).
