Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunset (91-23) (Painted In 1991) by Chen Ting-Shih was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 420,000.00 (€ 46,719.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Ting-Shih - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four Seasons , which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 164,345.17).

Die Arbeit Sunset (91-23) (Painted In 1991) von Chen Ting-Shih wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 420.000,00 (€ 46.719,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Ting-Shih mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Four Seasons beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 164.345,17) versteigert wurde.
