Auction result misses estimated price range
In January last year a collector was able to acquire the work Day and Night #68 by Chen Ting-Shih for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,436.74). This price was achieved in the auction 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale at Christies and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Ting-Shih achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four Seasons in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 164,345.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Day and Night #68 von Chen Ting-Shih für HKD 56.250,00 (€ 6.436,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale bei Christies erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Ting-Shih erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four Seasons im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 164.345,17).
