Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 China Guardian held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Glacier (96-4) (Painted In 1996) by Chen Ting-Shih. The price achieved of HKD 216,000.00 (€ 24,027.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Ting-Shih have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Seasons in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 164,345.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte China Guardian die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Glacier (96-4) (Painted In 1996) von Chen Ting-Shih zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 216.000,00 (€ 24.027,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Ting-Shih auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Seasons im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 164.345,17).
