Upper estimate price exceeded by 76 %.
This artwork by Chen Ting-Shih achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. In the Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Desire to Live sold for HKD 882,000.00 (€ 98,110.28) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Ting-Shih; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Four Seasons sold at auction in July 2020 with the realized price of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 164,345.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Ting-Shih erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Desire to Live für HKD 882.000,00 (€ 98.110,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Ting-Shih; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Four Seasons im Juli 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 164.345,17).
