A top price for Chen Shiwen - as previously expected
In April 2014 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Musical Instruments by Chen Shiwen. The price achieved of HKD 552,000.00 (€ 51,339.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 480,000.00 – 580,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Musical Instruments is the most expensive artwork by Chen Shiwen that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2014 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Musical Instruments von Chen Shiwen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 552.000,00 (€ 51.339,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 480.000,00 – 580.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Musical Instruments das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Shiwen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
