Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Bodhisattva by Chen Shiwen. The price achieved of HKD 230,000.00 (€ 21,391.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Shiwen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Musical Instruments, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 552,000.00 (€ 51,339.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bodhisattva von Chen Shiwen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 230.000,00 (€ 21.391,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Shiwen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Musical Instruments beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 552.000,00 (€ 51.339,58) versteigert wurde.
