Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Joyous Life In Mountains by Chen Mei. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,777.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Mei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Religious Procession, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 60,928.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joyous Life In Mountains von Chen Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.777,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Mei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Religious Procession beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 60.928,34) versteigert wurde.
