Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Ke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Shooting Star - Colored Ball sold for HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 155,747.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 550,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Ke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Outside the Window, which sold at auction in March this year for HKD 5,080,000.00 (€ 594,816.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Ke erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Shooting Star - Colored Ball für HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 155.747,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 550.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Ke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Outside the Window beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für HKD 5.080.000,00 (€ 594.816,04) versteigert wurde.
