Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I. Relatives/ II. Mah-jong(Two Works) by Chen Ke was sold in the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2021. The price achieved of HKD 30,240.00 (€ 3,362.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Ke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Outside the Window in March this year with an auction result of HKD 5,080,000.00 (€ 594,816.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit I. Relatives/ II. Mah-jong(Two Works) von Chen Ke wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 30.240,00 (€ 3.362,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Ke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Outside the Window im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.080.000,00 (€ 594.816,04).
