In September last year Christies in Paris held the auction Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers, which included the work Delayed Gift by Chen Ke. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 32,760.00 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Ke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Outside the Window in March this year with an auction result of HKD 5,080,000.00 (€ 594,816.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers durch, in der auch die Arbeit Delayed Gift von Chen Ke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 32.760,00 und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Ke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Outside the Window im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.080.000,00 (€ 594.816,04).
