This artwork by Chen Jieqi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Calligraphic Couplet sold for HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,383.26) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Jieqi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 44,263.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Jieqi erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet für HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.383,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Jieqi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 44.263,42).
