This artwork by Chen Dongyang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Secret Peep sold for HKD 235,500.00 (€ 20,587.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 85,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Dongyang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Kiss sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of HKD 312,000.00 (€ 29,708.76).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Dongyang erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Secret Peep für HKD 235.500,00 (€ 20.587,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 85.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Dongyang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Kiss im Mai 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 312.000,00 (€ 29.708,76).
