Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a Lady by Chen Danqing was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,583.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Danqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tibetan Cowboys in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 6,730,000.00 (€ 762,313.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady von Chen Danqing kam im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.583,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Danqing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tibetan Cowboys im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.730.000,00 (€ 762.313,13).
