Auction result well in line with expectations
The work After Guo Zhongshu of the Northern Sung's Saying Farewell at Wangchuan signed in Chinese; dated '1999' (middle left) by Chen Danqing was sold in the Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 23,374.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 260,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Danqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tibetan Cowboys in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 6,730,000.00 (€ 762,313.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit After Guo Zhongshu of the Northern Sung's Saying Farewell at Wangchuan signed in Chinese; dated '1999' (middle left) von Chen Danqing wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 23.374,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 260.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Danqing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tibetan Cowboys im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.730.000,00 (€ 762.313,13).
