Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Bijun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Poem from Shuangzhaolou - Spring Sunset sold for HKD 175,000 (€ 19,983) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Bijun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in April 2010 for HKD 524,000 (€ 50,738).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Bijun erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Poem from Shuangzhaolou - Spring Sunset für HKD 175.000 (€ 19.983) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Bijun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit beobachtet, die im April 2010 für HKD 524.000 (€ 50.738) versteigert wurde.
