In January 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Beyond Imagination: Outsider and Vernacular Art Featuring the Collection of Marjorie and Harvey Freed, which included the work Man and Woman by Charlie Willeto. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,023.17), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charlie Willeto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Figures, which sold at auction in February last year for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,364.22).

Im Januar 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Beyond Imagination: Outsider and Vernacular Art Featuring the Collection of Marjorie and Harvey Freed durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man and Woman von Charlie Willeto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.023,17) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charlie Willeto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Figures beobachtet, die im Februar letzten Jahres für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.364,22) versteigert wurde.
