Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles Wysocki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. In the American Art auction, the work Virginia's Perch sold for USD 35,840.00 (€ 33,639.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Wysocki; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Olde Bucks County sold at auction in January 2020 with the realized price of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,088.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Wysocki erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Virginia's Perch für USD 35.840,00 (€ 33.639,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Wysocki; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Olde Bucks County im Januar 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.088,16).
