Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles Wysocki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the Western Art auction, the work Love Letter from Laramie sold for USD 20,400.00 (€ 18,478.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Wysocki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Olde Bucks County, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,088.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Wysocki erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Western Art wurde die Arbeit Love Letter from Laramie für USD 20.400,00 (€ 18.478,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Wysocki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Olde Bucks County beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.088,16) versteigert wurde.
