Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Austrian the Fruit Seller by Charles Wilda was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2016. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,370.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Wilda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Egyptian Antiques Seller in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 347,978.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Austrian the Fruit Seller von Charles Wilda wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.370,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Wilda erzielen.
