Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Austrian girl By A Market Stall by Charles Wilda was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2011. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,293.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Wilda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Egyptian Antiques Seller in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 347,978.48).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.293,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
