Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crossing the burn by Charles Stuart was sold in the British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings auction at Christies in London in March 2004. The price achieved of GBP 956.00 (€ 1,431.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Stuart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Civil War Naval Battle: The Monitor and the Merrimack in January this year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 75,428.26).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,00 (€ 1.431,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden.
