Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Early Bird by Charles Spencelayh. The price achieved of GBP 15,250.00 (€ 18,080.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Spencelayh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Time On His Hands in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 265,600.00 (€ 384,318.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Early Bird von Charles Spencelayh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.250,00 (€ 18.080,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Spencelayh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Time On His Hands im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 265.600,00 (€ 384.318,77).
