Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work 'On Mischief Bent' by Charles Spencelayh. The price achieved of GBP 4,864.00 (€ 5,636.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Spencelayh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Time On His Hands in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 265,600.00 (€ 384,318.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'On Mischief Bent' von Charles Spencelayh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.864,00 (€ 5.636,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Spencelayh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Time On His Hands im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 265.600,00 (€ 384.318,77).
