Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work The coast near Menton, south of France by Charles Sims. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 532.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sims achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Elysium in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,428.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The coast near Menton, south of France von Charles Sims zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 360,00 (€ 532,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Sims erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Elysium im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 53.428,51).
